the cgb is an hardcore punk band from imperia, italy. they born in 1987, and after changes of line-up, and a long pause's period, they come back in 2003 with a cd, 'balboa' and in 2006 with this album, 'i giorni della merla'.
this work contains only 7 tracks(one song is a cure's cover, reread in their way) for the lenght of almost 18 minutes. their sound is obviously rooted in the '80ies italian hardcore sound, but read again with a modern sensibility and sound(so the recording is perfect for express to the full their song). so we have 7 moments full of passion, emotional, always fast but with perfect mid tempos and change of rithms that interwaves with the introspective and poetic lyrics, bringing the songs to an intense top.
a great band, and a great album.
